1. Who we are

Nexus Bot Stream (“we”, “our”, “the service”) is operated at nexusbotstream.com. We provide stream tools including alerts, donation widgets, goals, Telegram integration, and YouTube Live Chat overlay for use with OBS and streaming.

2. Data we collect

We collect and process only what is needed to run the service:

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), and optional profile settings when you register or update your profile.
  • Session data: login sessions (IP, browser, timestamps) for security and support.
  • Telegram: if you connect Telegram, we store your linked group/channel ID and use it to deliver donation alerts and bot messages. We do not read your private messages.
  • YouTube API data: see Section 3 below for full details.
  • Donations / payments: donation amounts, donor names, and messages are stored when you use donation widgets. Payment processing (e.g. PayWay) is handled by third-party providers; we may receive transaction identifiers and status to confirm subscriptions.

3. YouTube API Services

Nexus Bot Stream uses the YouTube API Services to power the YouTube Live Chat overlay feature. By connecting your YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

What we access:

  • We request the youtube.readonly scope — read-only access to your YouTube account.
  • We use this access solely to retrieve your live stream’s chat messages and display them in the OBS overlay widget in real time.
  • We access your YouTube channel ID and channel name to identify the connected account and display it in your settings.

What we do NOT do:

  • We do not post, modify, or delete any content on your YouTube account.
  • We do not share, sell, or transfer your YouTube data to any third party.
  • We do not use your YouTube data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond displaying your live chat overlay.
  • We do not store individual chat messages — they are fetched live and displayed in real time only.

Data stored:

  • OAuth access token and refresh token (encrypted at rest) — used to keep the overlay connected without requiring you to re-authenticate.
  • YouTube channel ID and channel name — displayed in your settings to confirm which account is connected.
  • Token expiry timestamp — used to automatically refresh the access token.

Data retention: YouTube tokens and channel data are deleted immediately when you click "Disconnect YouTube" in your settings, or when you delete your account.

Revoking access: You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from the YouTube Live Chat settings page. You can also revoke all access granted to Nexus Bot Stream directly from your Google Account permissions page.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How we use your data

We use the data above to:

  • Provide and operate the service (alerts, widgets, Telegram bot, YouTube chat overlay).
  • Authenticate you and manage your account and sessions.
  • Send you verification codes, password reset codes, and important service-related emails.
  • Improve the service and fix issues (e.g. logs and error reports).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling beyond what is needed for the service.

5. Cookies and similar tech

We use session cookies and similar technology to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. These are necessary for the site to function. You can control cookies in your browser settings, but disabling them may limit your use of the service.

6. Third-party services

We rely on the following types of third parties:

  • Google (YouTube): when you connect YouTube for the Live Chat overlay, Google’s OAuth and YouTube Data API are used. Their privacy policy applies to that interaction: Google Privacy Policy.
  • Telegram: our bot uses Telegram’s APIs to send messages to your linked group/channel. Telegram’s privacy policy applies: Telegram Privacy Policy.
  • Payment providers: payment and subscription processing (e.g. ABA PayWay) is handled by the provider; their privacy and terms apply to payment data.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and related data for as long as your account is active. Login session history may be retained for a limited period for security. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us; we will process such requests in line with applicable law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, or to object to processing. You can update much of your information in your profile. For other requests or questions about your data, contact us using the email below.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (e.g. HTTPS, hashed passwords, secure tokens) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login details private.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
